The FB51 forestry crane is equipped with a slewing motor with 4 slewing cylinders and has a 3 tonne endless rotator, hydraulic hose connection to the rotator, rotator joint without pendulum brake and FB160 grapple.
The FB51 crane is a compact loader for effortless timber handling with a reach of 5.1 metres, making it the ideal choice for small tractors and trailers. This model has a 4-cylinder slewing engine for an improved movement pattern and a lifting torque of 26 kNm (net) at maximum reach.
The rotator joint is supplied without a pendulum brake as standard, but can be upgraded to a braked version if required. All our cranes are supplied with hydraulic hoses connected to the rotator.
- Well-protected and guided hydraulic hoses
- Main boom ready for winch mounting
- 3-point frame available for the tractor

Product info
Many of the design solutions used in the FB51 crane are based on professional high-performance cranes, making the FTG loader crane an exceptionally durable and reliable machine for forestry work. The reliable design keeps productivity high and minimises maintenance costs.
The forestry cranes are normally used together with the timber trailers, depending on their loading capacity and the desired crane reach. They are normally installed directly on the trailer’s crane base prepared by the drawbar.
Another possible installation of the loader crane is on agricultural tractors – mounting on 3-point frames and coupling to the tractor’s 3-point linkage system. Forestry cranes are also often used for wood chippers, splitters, etc. Operating with a crane is the safest and most efficient way to feed the material.
All our forestry cranes are equipped with a winch-ready boom, which facilitates subsequent installation as demand increases. Winch – an important tool for effective work – expands the working area and facilitates the collection of individual logs.
Another fairly important feature of crane operation is the grab. The FB51 crane is equipped with the FB160 grab as standard. A robust construction, high-quality components and a proven design solution contribute to the long service life of the grab. The maximum grip opening width is 1010 mm with a gripping area of 0.16 m2. All screws, axle pins and cylinder hoses are securely protected.
Timber cranes can be equipped with different control systems depending on customer requirements. As standard, cranes include a rotary lever control with 2-lever/3-coordinates. However, valves can be changed to an ON/OFF, Lightweight, Electro-Hydraulic Control System or even Radio-Controlled System.
The recommended oil flow for operating the FB51 crane is 20 – 30 litres / min.
